Multifactorial bidding

Multifactorial bidding on direct campaigns is now available on Adkernel platform. This feature allows to shape advertiser’s bid towards publisher traffic in a more flexible way.

Below are attributes, which can be bid adjusted:

• keyword;
­
• locations (including country, state and city);
­
• day of week;
­
• hour of the day;
­
• browsers and OS;
­
• publisher feeds.­

For example, campaign default bid is $0.05. If you decide to pay for Internet Explorer traffic less than this, you can set Bid Adjustment = 0.5 for this browser. This means that all IE traffic will get bid = $0.025 ($0.05 * 0.5).
You can adjust bids for other factors the same way. For example, if you want to buy US traffic at a higher price you can set Bid Adjustment = 1.5. US bid will be shown as: $0.05 * 1.5 = $0.075.

Please note: these factors are combined together, i.e. US IE traffic will be priced as follows: default bid * IE factor * US factor = $0.05 * 0.5 * 1.5 = $0.0375

Usage:

1. Go to your Campaigns list.
   
2. Click on Offers2 column.
   
   
3. Click Create button:
   
   
4. Select Campaign, put Offer Name and Default Bid, $:
   
   Further navigation will go by using tabs:
   
   
5. Keywords
   Particular keyword can be added by clicking on Create button:
   
   or using “Import Keywords” window (one keyword per line):
   
   Please note that RON keyword is already added by default but is disabled initially.
   Once keywords are added, you can set Bid Adjustment for each of them:
   
   As per screenshot above, keyword “used cars” will get 0.9 of Default Bid, “best deals” ­ 0.8, etc.
   
6. Text Ads
   Text Ads for offer can be created but clicking on “Create Text Ads” button:
   
   Fill in required fields and click “OK” button. Text Ad will appear in text ads list:
   
7. Locations
   Custom Bid Adjustment can be set on country level:
   
   
   You can also go down to states and city level by clicking on highlighted icon.
   

The rest of Offer settings are typical and are set similarly.
